S.T.A.R. (Serving Teens through Arts Resources) is an evidence-based program based in New York City addressing adolescent emotional and physical health. Featuring an ensemble company trained as peer educators and youth advocates, S.T.A.R. introduces tools that promote positive attitudes, build risk reduction skills, and link youth with health care and social services. Since its founding in 1987, S.T.A.R’s interactive theater performances and follow-up workshops have served more than 100,000 youth in school and out-of-school settings.
