Facing History and Ourselves (FHAO) equips teachers to engage high school students in an examination of racism, prejudice, and antisemitism. By studying the historical development of the Holocaust and other examples of genocide with FHAO-trained teachers, students make connections between history and the moral choices they confront. FHAO content and methods significantly increase engagement, empathy, critical thinking skills, and civic responsibility among young people. FHAO reaches nearly 50,000 teachers annually worldwide.
